The Shaggy Dog is an all-indoor boarding facility. We believe that this provides for your dog’s maximum comfort during all seasons, whether it is hot, cold, wet or windy.

Our spacious, comfort controlled, indoor runs are about 4'x16', with a sleeping section and an exercise section. Although traditional indoor/outdoor kennels are designed with the same sections, dogs must be locked in to their smaller sleeping sections at night. They will also spend more time in the sleeping sections during bad weather. Because our kennel is designed with both sections indoors, your dog will have 24-hour access to the complete length of his run. This means that if he needs to relieve himself during the night, he won’t have to do it where he sleeps. Sleeping areas are cooled in summer and heated in winter. A raised bed and blanket provide a comfy place to snuggle in for a snooze.

All of our runs are separated by 2’ barriers and 4’ tempered glass panels; we don’t use chain link in the kennel. The barriers and glass panels allow us to maintain a high degree of sanitation and security for your dog. Runs are sanitized twice daily and bedding is checked and laundered as needed.
